Improves:

  • Alignment
  • Putter Path
  • Clubface Control

Description:

The Putting Rail is a straightforward feedback tool for one of the biggest leaks in the average golfer's stroke: inconsistent start line.

Roll the ball down the rail toward your target. A clean roll means your alignment, path and face were all working together. If the ball comes off the rail, you've got instant feedback on exactly where the miss came from — no guessing, no second-guessing your read.

How to use it:
Set the rail down on a flat section of green or your putting mat, aimed at a target 6–10 feet away. Place a ball at the start of the rail and stroke it through. The rail doesn't lie — if you're pulling putts left or leaving the face open at impact, you'll see it immediately in how the ball tracks (or doesn't).

Why it works:
Most putting misses aren't a green-reading problem — they're a stroke mechanics problem. The Putting Rail isolates that variable so you can build a repeatable stroke before you ever worry about pace or break.

Jack's Coach note:
I use this exact drill with players at every level, from beginners building their first stroke to competitive players chasing tour-level consistency. It's one of the simplest ways to get objective feedback on your stroke without needing a launch monitor in your hands.
